Our Three Day Classes are offered to our guests once or twice a month in a variety of exciting cuisines!

If you are passionate about cooking or even if you have always wanted to learn, but have never found the time, why not consider a cooking school with an internationally trained Chef?

Our group classes are available all year and are characterized by its use of the freshest ingredients, prevalently from the Inn’s surrounding herb garden and local farmers. We are in the heart of high production farm country. Our students may participate in picking and collecting the herbs and have the certainty of always utilizing and eating 100% natural ingredients.

In our school you will be hands on actively participating in approximately sixteen hours of five labs. You will participate in the preparation of two breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners. After the each lesson, you will enjoy the dishes you have prepared with your fellow students in dining room setting with complimentary wine pairing by our resident intermediate sommelier.

The Farm tours consist of an opportunity to talk directly with actual farmers who make their living from the farm. You may tour a 600,000 bird pheasant farm, 2100 head pig farm, dairy with 700 ++ cows, flower farm, jam and jelly factory, and vineyard. This is a drive your own tour, so you can take as much time available to learn from the Farmers themselves.

Typical Schedule follows:

Day One

  • Arrival at the HideAway Country Inn by 3:00 pm.
  • Your first demonstration will begin with our Executive Chef in our commercial kitchen at 4:00 pm.
  • You will then have time to rest before your welcome dinner in the Manor House.
  • After dinner you will join Our Chef for FAQ and storytelling.  This will include an itinerary and recipe assignments for the next two days.

Day Two

  • Chef will await you at 8:00 am and your first lab will begin by preparing breakfast.
  • A small break will be allowed and then you will enjoy preparing a picnic lunch to be taken to a local Vineyard or Farm.  You will be given a map of the area farms to tour enjoy your prepared picnic lunch.
  • Arrive back at the Inn at 5:00 pm you start to prepare your evening dinner. Share stories of your Farm adventures, and even use some of the ingredients you may pick up for Our Chef fresh from the farm.
  • Once complete you will have a feast of the finest foods to enjoy and top the evening off.

Day Three

  • You will once again report to the kitchen at 8:00 am and begin breakfast preparation.
  • After enjoying your meal you will have a short break and return to the kitchen by 11:00am.  At this time you will receive instructions and break off to prepare you assigned recipes for lunch.
  • This will conclude your three day course.
