Less than 30 minutes from the HideAway Inn is All Hoofed Up, a private ranch and horse riding stable, owned and operated by HideAway Inn Chef Marc Sleeckx and his wife Lisa.  The ranch offers visitors a true taste of central Ohio where farming and horses go hand in hand. Their offerings include trail rides, riding lessons, and horse camps.

Every spring from May 1st through October 15th the Sleeckx’s accept visitor reservations for trail riding both on the ranch and areas nearby. Horse back rides may be canceled at any time if the owners feel that the safety of the rider is at stake (i.e.: storms coming, wet conditions, injured horse, etc.).

 

In addition to horseback riding All Hoofed Up also offers carriage rides in the summer and sleigh rides in the winter. Ideal for those who don’t want to be in the saddle but still enjoy seeing the area from a different point of view.

Typical horse back riding packages include:

  • 1  hour rides offering ring time, trails and fields
  • 2  hour rides offering ring time, trails and fields
  • 3  hour rides at Mohican Memorial State Forest or Malabar Farm with lunch included
  • 4  hour rides with overnight stay at Mohican Memorial State Forest and a 2 hour ride the following morning after breakfast (all meals included)
  • 1  hour carriage ride through Amish country
