Bicycling – Bicycles are on site if you would like to see the area on 2 wheels. We will even prepare a picnic lunch for you.

Ohio Bird Sanctuary
The Ohio Bird Sanctuary, located on the head water of the Clearfork River in Mansfield, Ohio, is just 35 minutes away from HideAway. The tranquil marsh and serene old growth forest offers great birding and hiking opportunities. Check out the birds of prey display or enjoy a relaxing stroll through the songbird aviary.

Mansfield Fire Museum
This ever-expanding museum of fire fighting history is located 35 minutes away in the heart of nearby Mansfield. Featuring a reproduction of a turn-of-the-century fire station, the genuine Mansfield fire alarm bell, fire education for kids of all ages, and lots more, the Mansfield Fire Museum will take you on a walk through the history of firefighting.

Malabar Farm State Park
Malabar Farm, a sprawling 914-acre estate established by Ohio Pulitzer Prize winning author and conservationist Louis Bromfield, is conveniently located less than an hour away from HideAway Inn and offers a wide variety of activities for the entire family. Walk the many park trails, enjoy the songbird aviary, and discover new information about agriculture, the environment, energy, Bromfield and more in the 30+ experience interactive exhibits.

Kingwood Center
The spectacular Kingwood Center is located just 35 minutes away from HideAway Inn in downtown Mansfield. This French Provincial mansion containing original furnishings is surrounded by grounds renowned for historic significance and breathtaking floral display. Shop the year-round sales located in the elegant greenhouses.

Newark Earthworks State Memorial
The Newark Earthworks are the largest set of geometric earthen enclosures in the world. They were built by prehistoric Hopewell people between 100 BC and AD 500 and were originally used partially as a cathedral, partially as a cemetery, and partially as an astronomical observatory. The three part memorial consists of the Great Circle Earthworks, the Octagon Earthworks and Wright Earthworks. The Newark Earthworks are approximately a 90 minute drive from HideAway Inn.

Beulah Park
Beulah Park is Ohio’s first original Thoroughbred racetrack. Located less than an hour and a half away from HideAway Inn, Beulah Park offers fun for the whole family from mid fall through spring.
