The Ohio State Reformatory features stunning architecture and lots of history, which makes it one of the most famous locations in Central Ohio! This unique building was constructed in 1886 using a combination of Victorian Gothic, Queen Anne, and Richardsonian Romanesque styles. One hundred and fifty offenders took up residence when the Reformatory opened in 1896. Over its lifetime, more than 155,000 men spent time in this prison before it closed at the end of 1990.
